SAFE AND CONVENIENT: An easy to reach ON/OFF switch is mounted conveniently above the tub, meaning you’ll never need to bend over to engage or disengage the motor. A tub sensing safety switch will stop the motor in an instant if the tub gets removed or out of position during operation and an in-line GFCI plug style can fit all standard outlets.

CLEAN BIRDS: Birds are gently tumbled across the 111 natural rubber fingers, ensuring skin isn’t torn or bones aren’t broken during the process. An internal hose sprays water inside the tub while plucking to flush feathers and debris off the birds and the included ON/OFF Y-valve splits the incoming hose connection— providing a convenient hook up for a handheld spray nozzle.

EASY CLEAN & LOW MAINTENANCE: A removable 304 stainless steel tub allows for full washdown cleaning. Description

The Yardbird® Chicken Plucker saves you time and effort during your chicken processing day. Fully defeathering two birds in 15 seconds or less, the Yardbird Chicken Plucker revolutionizes what is typically the most painstaking and messy chore when processing chickens: hand plucking— which can take up to 30 minutes per bird if done by hand. A conveniently located ON/OFF button is mounted to an extra-wide pull handle which eliminates the need for bending over to engage or disengage the motor. Its heavy-duty 1.2 HP motor provides ample power to swiftly pluck feathers and remove debris from a properly scalded bird. The 111 natural rubber fingers are perfectly spaced to ensure that feathers are removed without damaging the meat or tearing the skin. A 304 stainless steel tub features an internal hose that sprays during plucking to help flush the feathers through the oversized discharge chute. An ON/OFF Y-valve is included to split the incoming hose connection which provides a convenient hook up for a handheld spray nozzle. A safety switch senses that the tub is attached before operation while an in-line GFCI plug style can fit into any common household outlet. The extra-large wheels help maneuver the unit to and from storage with ease and at just 24” wide the plucker can easily fit through all standard door openings. The extra-stable 4-legged platform is open in front, allowing for the use of a feather collection bucket. When you are done, the tub can be removed allowing for a full washdown of the plucker and cords and hoses can be placed on the included hooks and hose wraps, storing them in place for the next use.
